With a colony of 50,000 bees, 21 million flowers are pollinated in just one day!
At Quintessence Paris, we recognize the significance of sustainable scent creation and have formed a partnership with the association "Un toit pour les abeilles" (A roof for the bees).
Since 2017, we have been sponsoring a beehive and contributing funds each year to support biodiversity and advance custom scent creation solutions. The organization "Un toit pour les abeilles" is dedicated to preserving biodiversity by helping save bees and setting up new hives. Bees play a key role in producing the fragrances we value, which are important for luxury scent marketing and bespoke scent creation.
Fun fact: the honeybee, Apis Mellifera, is responsible for the reproduction of 80% of flowers and for one-third of the food we consume. Our custom branded scented products, including luxury candle branding and private label candles, play a crucial role in improving the atmosphere of any space with their branded ambient fragrance.
Normally, between May and August, the hive shows busy activity, as the queen lays about 2,000 eggs daily. In contrast, during the colder months, she lays only about 200 eggs each day. However, beekeepers play a crucial role in the offseason by preparing the hives for the next season, which is essential for producing custom candles.
The only bee to produce honey in Europe is facing a significant population decline, likely due to a combination of natural factors (parasites, predators, climate) and human impacts like pesticides. Sudden disappearances of hive inhabitants are a troubling trend.
When Quintessence Paris became aware of the Colony Collapse Disorder of bees, we decided to take action by supporting the association. Supporting a beehive with our company’s name helps both protect these essential insects and educate future generations on bees' importance in custom home fragrance production and biodiversity conservation.
Quintessence Paris is dedicated to a future where creating private label fragrances is both sustainable and responsible, so that nature's delightful scents continue to flourish.
