French actor and producer Pascal Légitimus joins forces with Quintessence Paris for a unique creation—where visual art meets olfaction.
A passionate photographer, PascalLégitimus captures poetic forms inspired by seashells using only his iPhone. These images, showcased in his exhibition at the Bastille Design Centre, reflect a radiant and deeply personal perspective. To extend the emotional resonance beyond the frame, we envisioned together a fragrance: an olfactory echo of his visual universe.
The scent tells his story, blending the essence of his Caribbean heritage with the subtle symbolism of the shell. It opens on sunny notes of white flowers, with a radiant dominance of ylang ylang, evoking warmth and luminosity. The heart unfolds gently into soft, round base notes, where a touch of spice adds depth and character—mirroring the complexity behind the simplicity of a shell.

Quintessence Paris guided Pascal through each stage of the perfume’s creation, transforming his artistic vision and personal essence into a sunlit, tropical fragrance. This dialogue between image and scent gave rise to a sensory work—where each note evokes a shoreline, a memory, a glimmer of light.
To create a fully immersive experience, the exhibition space was gently perfumed with electric diffusers, enveloping visitors in Pascal’s olfactory world from the very first step.
A journey between the eye and the nose, between memory and material.
