A collaboration between Quintessence Paris and Natalie Bader, founder of Maison Chandelier.
With over 30 years of experience in the world of luxury, Natalie Bader—founder of Maison Chandelier—has long guided prestigious maisons in shaping their voice and vision. Over time, a meaningful connection bloomed between our team and hers. So when she set out to launch her own line of home objects and fragrances, we were honored to be part of her story. Together, we crafted a collection of scented candles that embodies the delicate universe and soulful heritage Maison Chandelier seeks to share.
Maison Chandelier: A sensory journey through the garden
When the desire to grow her own brand took root, Natalie naturally returned to the fertile ground of her memories. She spoke of shelling peas with family, of joyful gatherings beneath fig trees, and of the quiet pride that comes with pulling your very first radish from the soil. Through her words, we understood: nature had nurtured her imagination, becoming the gentle force that shaped her sensibility. At the heart of this world lies the garden—a place of life, of legacy, and of transmission. One garden in particular: the one from her childhood, lovingly tended by a certain Monsieur Chandelier. The name, it seemed, was already written. With this deeply personal journey, Natalie seeks to awaken nostalgia in those who grew up among vegetables and vines—and to offer a touch of this pastoral magic to those who dream of it.
Six candles, six tales from the garden
For the debut of Maison Chandelier, Natalie chose the scented candle—a gesture we deeply cherish. To bring it to life, we called on the talents of perfumers Domitille Michalon Bertier and Vanina Muracciole. Together, we imagined six fragrances: three inspired by vegetables, three by fruits. Each candle is housed in a hand-blown glass vessel, softly bubbled and deliciously colored. Reusable and timeless, these creations are more than fragrances—they are decorative companions, designed to illuminate everyday life. Come, step into the garden, and let the scents guide you:
Reine Carotte, orange glass
A pastoral caress, where tender carrot is gently powdered with iris. Patchouli and notes of moss and musk add a spicy, comforting depth—a round and soothing composition.
Prince Petit Pois, light green glass
The spirit of summer in a burst of green. Freshly shelled peas, lifted by mint, sage, and peppermint, conjure sun-drenched memories and the joy of childhood harvests.
Royal Rhubarbe, pink glass
A tangy garden treat. Rhubarb stalks meet ivy, grapefruit, and rosemary for a refreshing, invigorating scent that captures the sweet-sour pleasure of summer days.
Pomodorini, red glass
The vivid scentof tomato leaves, crushed between your fingers. Cedar and musk lend softness and calm, while a bright acidity brings the garden to life once more.
Verdura Cassis, dark green glass
The forest after rain. Blackcurrant bushes mingle with thyme, basil, and geranium in a serene, grounding bouquet that evokes well-being.
Aureus Ficus, yellow glass
A fig tree’s embrace. Green and herbaceous notes of fig leaf and fruit melt into tonka bean and sandalwood—a warm, relaxing scent perfect for slow afternoons.
Which fragrance transports you instantly into a sun-kissed garden? Admittedly, choosing just one feels impossible—we’d like to pick them all.
