NATIONAL MUSEUM OF QATAR

Imagined by the famous architect Jean Nouvel, the new National Museum of Qatar follows in the footsteps of the Arab World Institute and the Philharmonie de Paris.

It was inspired by the desert rose, a majestic crystallisation formed by gypsum and mineral-rich soil. Adding a hint of modernity and audacity to the design, the building also symbolises the desert and its serenity.

Commissioned by the Luxury Makers agency for the inauguration of the museum, the project is a daring gamble: making a candle moulded from a real desert rose. Its scent also symbolically represents this crystallisation with an intense rose accord.

The fresh and full-bodied scent of peony dominates the top notes of the candle, before being enveloped in a warmer and gourmet floral middle note of rose and saffron. An oriental touch rounds off this fragrance with panache thanks to the rare, spicy and intensely powerful oud wood.
